It’s one thing to copy the Apple retail store design (complete with Genius, er, Guru Bar), or the work of a famous artist for your logo, or even to recruit employees from the Apple retail stores to get that “Apple vibe.” It’s another altogether to copy the impromptu musical outbursts of Improv Everywhere.
I’m sorry, but does Microsoft have an original marketing thought? And don’t they realize just how corny and uncomfortable this is? It’s like being at an ice cream parlor when the waiters are forced to sing Happy Birthday: everyone winces except the children.
This video makes me very uncomfortable.
Oh dear.
Funny. I saw this video earlier last week and thought it was an Apple store. For course Microsoft would be behind something this contrived. Thanks for righting my universe.

Viral dancing at a computer store is like the electric slide or the chicken dance at a wedding: “What? Oh no. Please, no. Oh, God, okay. Please don’t let me end up on the wedding video. _____, I’m going to kill you for this.”
“I’m sorry, but does Microsoft have an original marketing thought? ”
too true. i wondered about the “i’m a pc and windows 7 was my idea” ad campaign, directly derivative of … apple.
